Kawika's Eclectic Link List |
Kawika, How Much Is My Ukulele Worth?
I have received many requests for information regarding the monetary value of a particular ukulele. Such instruments have usually been gifts from relatives (now often deceased) with wonderful stories about the adventures of the ukulele and relative together. Obviously the personal value of such an instrument is enormous. What a used instrument is "worth" is a complex question involving supply, demand, perceived value at various time periods and so forth. What follows is a listing of those sites or sources of information whose daily business is to make such
judgments and associate a dollar value with a given instrument. The listing of a given site in this list does not necessarily imply a recommendation on my part, just a source of information...

Welcome to the Gryphon Website No matter what you are interested in- instruments, music books, recordings, lessons, amps, or accessories- there is something here to fascinate, entertain, or maybe even annoy you.
- Gruhn Guitars Gruhn Guitars was founded in 1970 in Nashville, TN, just around the corner from the historic Ryman Auditorium. Since then, this shop has become THE place to find rare and fine guitars, mandolins and banjos. In that quarter-century, George Gruhn has established himself as the world's leading authority on vintage fretted musical instruments. Check out this site for an idea of what we have to offer, and come visit our showroom in Nashville in the heart of Music City's vibrant downtown.
- Elderly Instruments Elderly Instruments is a music store and mail-order service featuring a huge stock of new and used guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects, banjos, mandolins, fiddles, dulcimers, harmonicas, accordions, bodhrans, and other instruments, an extensive selection of instructional books and videos, plus 1000's of hard-to-find CD's & cassettes.
- Mandolin Brothers Mandolin Brothers, Ltd has been called "a toy store for guitar players" and it's easy to see why: the place is wall to wall acoustic, electric and
arch top guitars, banjos, and mandolins. If your searching for that special vintage instrument, then you've come to the right place (and all for about twice the average prices of other dealers - DCH)!
